JOB EVALUATIONS TO:
ADDRESS EMPLOYEE COMPLAINTS
INVESTIGATE INJURIES
DESIGN NEW WORKPLACES
COMPLETE AN ERGONOMICS "INVENTORY"
We do ergonomics assessments of jobs to identify ergonomics risk factors, the tasks in which risk factors occur, the work/workplace causes, and to develop solutions. Ergonomics job evaluations involve two steps: Data Collection and Evaluation.

The Data Collection takes place at the employee's workstation. An interview is conducted to define the tasks that make up the job and identify the equipment used to perform each task. Other data may be collected including taking force measurements or noting workstation components. The employee is observed performing the job to determine the biomechanical requirements, including body positions required to perform the tasks at the existing workstation. A video of the employee performing the job may be used for more detailed analysis.

In the Evaluation step, the information gathered from the observations and measurements is compared with specific ergonomic criteria to identify the ergonomics risk factors. The workplace causes of the risk factors and the solution concepts for correcting the problems are determined.

Following the evaluation, the findings are discussed with the employee and management. A report contains the results of the evaluation and documents the potential solutions.
We do ergonomics job evaluations of any work situation. We have experience in many different occupations in many different industries. For more information about ergonomics job evaluations contact us to discuss your needs.
